Community Guidelines

At the Psychedelic Association of Canada (PAC), we stand for responsible, empowered living and have developed our organization around a grounded set of core values that guide our mission to unite the Psychedelic Community throughout Canada. To fulfill that mission, it is essential to set clear, written guidelines about how we engage and behave across all communication platforms.

We hope that by uniting Canada’s psychedelic community, we can inspire people to feel safe, confident and supported in their ability to communicate with compassion and kindness and to continue positively advancing the movement collaboratively from coast to coast. We must understand and agree to these values and guidelines to respectfully engage with new ideas, alternative points of view, and potential conflict areas.

By committing to these guidelines, you agree to interact within our shared values. It is okay to disagree, that is how we form new ideas and grow, but it is vital to do so with respect for your peers within this community.

Community Agreements

The purpose of this community is to connect all areas of the psychedelic community in one safe, informative and interactive space to build strong, mutually beneficial relationships between all supporters of psychedelic plant medicine in Canada. Our vision is to create a community that promotes goodwill, inclusion, integrity, ethics and safety within its membership to promote stimulating discussion around the advancement of these medicines and their use within Canada.

In order to meet the aspirations of this community, it is important for our members to feel like they’re in supportive places with others that share common interests and values, and when we have disagreements, we can continue dialogue in a respectful and kind manner. As such, we request that you read and adhere to the guidelines and values outlined in this agreement that follows.

Our Agreements

  • Treat other community members online as you would treat them in real life.
  • Be tolerant towards others while respectfully disagreeing when opinions do not align with yours.
  • Don't let confidence become arrogance; our learning never stops.
  • Be responsible for your reputation by being kind, respectful and open-minded.
  • Always ask who is missing from the discussion; find ways to expand our collective perspective.
  • Never assume your intentions are clear; always communicate what you feel might need to be heard.

We Do Not Stand For

  • Any personal attacks, defamatory remarks, bullying or false statements against other community members
  • Posting of prejudiced, racist, hurtful or discriminating comments in any capacity.

Responsible Communication

The tools, channels, pages and communication platforms that we've built within the Psychedelic Association of Canada are intended to create relationships with the entire psychedelic community from coast to coast while facilitating powerful conversations on what is next for this growing field. 

The Psychedelic of Canada reserves the right to take action against posts, comments or users who are not acting within the agreements and values outlined in this agreement on any of the following forms of communication (and any future communication assets owned and operated by the PAC):

  • Social media: Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn (and any new PAC created social media assets)
  • Webinars including, but are not limited to: Zoom panel discussions, Facebook live, Instagram live, and others.
  • Virtual events
  • 1:1 support email
  • Our Mighty Networks private community network

Kindness

Kindness is the ultimate gift. Even if opinions differ or misunderstandings occur, remaining kind in all situations helps ensure that relationships flourish. The PAC invites everyone to be curious, accepting, and compassionate, with an open heart in all interactions.

It takes courage to speak of things that need to be upheld or to evolve. The PAC is passionate about elevating humanity. We know the power of psychedelics to activate and uplift our way of being and their ability to be a catalyst in our awakening. This knowledge inspires us to take a stand and a leadership role in our communities. 

Integrity

We foster honest, consistent, and uncompromising principles for the good of all on this planet. The PAC is committed to being transparent, collaborative and open to improving at every level.


Inclusion

The PAC seeks to serve all people. Inclusion requires that we constantly ask who is not in the room and why not. We want to actively dismantle barriers to the active participation of all people who resonate with the purpose and aims of the PAC. We also align with the principles of equity and justice to be a diverse community that values connection and collaboration at the core of all our efforts.


Responsibility

Responsibility is simply the ability to respond. Everyone has the capacity to take full responsibility for their actions and reactions to all circumstances in life. The PAC encourages everyone to take ownership of themselves and their place in the world.


Accountability

Through humility and transparency, the PAC encourages individuals, groups, and society to hold themselves to a high standard of ethical action and restore harmony by healing our relationship with one another and our world. 


Transformation

Transformation is a pivotal part of the human journey, from the moment of birth to death, from constriction to expansion, from disease to healing and from separation to unity. We strive to remember who we are, why we have come here, and are grateful to have the opportunity to grow with the support and guidance of plant medicines and psychedelics.


Empowerment

As sovereign beings, we have the choice and chance to be empowered in every moment, and with every breath, this is our birthright. The PAC supports the empowerment of all beings to live in safety, harmony and peace, while supporting each other to live fulfilled lives in service to ourselves, others, and our planet. 


Abundance

Recognition of the abundance that is everywhere is a common gift from our plant medicine and fungi teachers. It can reveal our authentic self's essence - joy, generosity, curiosity, and gratitude. To play with all sentient beings coming from abundance creates limitless possibilities for all.    


Sacredness

Sacredness binds all of us together in a graceful and eternal surrender to the beauty and joy around us. Profound wisdom can be found through our sacred connection to ourselves, each other, and the shared web of life surrounding all of us. Everything in life is sacred, from our relationship to others to the way we walk, talk, and breathe. We honor each action we take and every word we say with intention, love, and respect. 

Privacy Policy

By joining the Psychedelic Association of Canada membership, you agree to provide us with personal information such as your name, email and location. We collect this information with your consent to add to the value of your membership through our various channels of communication. We only require the minimum amount of personal information that is necessary to fulfill the purpose of your interaction with us. We do not sell your information to third parties, and we only use it as this agreement describes as a way to interact with you more personally.
