Our Mission
To educate about and advocate for access to all psychedelics as a basic human right
The PAC has created a nationwide community of scientists, teachers, healthcare workers, business people, indigenous practitioners and other supportive Canadian citizens who understand the potential of psychedelics to transform our wellbeing. Our community of like-minded individuals is a welcoming and engaging space. In cooperation with this community, in support of this community, and with countless volunteers drawn from this community, the CPA engages in many activities, all moving Canada toward being a place where everyone who needs to access the benefits of psychedelic medicines can do so.

Why is this important?
Psychedelic medicines have the healing power to transform lives. In one example, a clinical study has shown that therapy for PTSD patients is twice as effective when MDMA therapy is included.
In another example, CBC journalist Julian Uzielli had been dealing with “bouts of depression and suicidal thoughts for about as long as I can remember.” After receiving psychedelic therapy at a licensed clinic, he said “the ultimate effect was being able to resolve my issues and heal my mental wounds — not merely bandage them, as I had been doing with conventional antidepressants.”
“After the first session, I felt my mood improve. After the second, I felt my perspective on life improve as well. By the end of the three weeks, I felt like a new person. “

We have an ethical obligation to end the suffering of multitudes of people burdened with mental illnesses, by getting them access to these highly effective medicines.
